New to the market this very rare flame mahogany Tavern or so called act of parliament clock has been in a private collection for the last seventeen years before which it hung in the church hall in a village in Bedfordshire for as long as anyone can remember.
Dating from the late 18th / early 19th century it is in totally pure original condition and in full working order. Signed on the original painted wooden dial ** PARR NEW CAVENDISH St. LONDON **
The 8 day "A frame" short drop movement with five bulbous pillars and original weight and pendulum.
Height 52" Diameter of the dial being 22"
** Parr and sons are recorded as working in New Cavendish Street around 1820 so presumably Parr alone would be earlier than that probably dating from the late 18th century**
Because of its size and value this has to be collection only or can deliver anywhere on mainland UK for the cost of fuel. Please Email postcode for quote.
