Seller: oakpark2 (698) 100%, Location: Chicago, Illinois, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 124087489626 This is a rare and important work from the Prairie School era by artist and designer Alfonso Iannelli for a custom rug for the J.F. Clarke House in Fairfield, Iowa, designed in 1915 by the architect and peer of Frank Lloyd Wright, Barry Byrne. This is a to-scale fully-detailed drawing, and may have been the document used to make the actual rug. The house is well-documented, both in the period and now, and I have included some period photos to show it in place. The drawing itself measures 14"h x 20"w overall, and is in very good condition as shown. There looks to be a crease or repaired tear, as shown, but it does not affect the look of the piece in any way. Iannelli designed several murals for the house as well, and I believe some of the furniture. It is unsigned, but is part of the large archive of works by Iannelli Studios that I purchased in the 1990's, and guaranteed to be authentic. Feel free to ask any questions, and to bid with confidence. Style: Arts & Crafts/Mission Style, Original/Reproduction: Original
