Antique Georgian Period Oak Housekeepers Press Wardrobe, 18th Century Circa 1780 ~~~
A super piece of English antique furniture. This housekeepers cupboard is a great storage piece and has various uses, such as a wardrobe, a kitchen cupboard or a hallway coat and boot cupboard. It’s an old piece handmade around 1780. The cupboard is oak , 2 doors and a separate base habit 3 drawers offering plenty of storage. Inside the 2 doors there are original wooden pegs. The cupboard comes in 2 half’s for easy transport and easier to get upstairs.
The cupboard will have knocks and bumps and it has had woodworm in some areas but has been treated as a precaution.
The top has a cornice and taking this into account when measurements
Width inc cornice is 135cm x height 190cm x depth 54cm
The cupboard can be altered to suit by adding shelf’s or a hanger.
It’s solid structure but it is old so expect some wear.
