Item:352974387787Antique 19C Gilt bronzed French Villard Mantle Clock (GWO). The condition of this clock is quite stunning, the gilt is in excellent condition and the porcelain face is spotless with no cracks or blemishes. All parts are original to this particular clock with the exception of the pendulum which is brass and in keeping with the style. The movement has been serviced and oiled and in good working order. The clock hammer hits the bell once on the half hour and the number of the hour on the hour. There are 4 threaded support legs to allow level adjustment. It is 29cm high, 28cm wide and 14cm deep. There is a glass viewing panel at the back to see the mechanism. I could have put this clock onto a fine arts website but have found that all buyers are viewing eBay anyway and their commission rates are high. There is no reserve price.
