It was made by HAC (Hamburg American Clock Co) in the 19th century. The casing of this clock is made from beech, with a rich, chocolate coloured finish. The front of the clock has beautiful three dimensional decals of columns and baluster shapes. There is a stunning patina, which this clock has acquired through time. It enhances the appearance of this clock. There is a mild scuff on the corner of one of the columns, which does not depreciate the appearance of the clock. The face is an enamel chapter ring, with black roman numerals and brass hands. The centre of the chapter ring is a brass disc. There is one winding train, which has been placed within the numeral VI. The face has a brass framed, glass casing, which is intact and is in excellent condition. The fastener of the casing door has been shortened so the door does not clasp closed. At the back of the clock is the door to the mechanism. This is intact and is in good condition, there is a slight split within the wood of the door. It is complete with it's fastener. Inside this chamber is the later fitted mechanism. The door has the original HAC label. The three pin plug comes out of the bottom of the clock.
