Vanner & Prest were oil merchants in England. MOLLISCORIUM was an oil for treating harnesses and other leather products. It was patented in 1877. Vanner & Prest was the product name of an oil used to clean the coat of a horse with a currycomb. Embrocation connotes a liniment for human and animal use. The company was located at Ormside Street and Old Ket Road, London, S.E. This clock was possibly one of the most widely produced of all clocks.
