Seller: Top-Rated Seller the-hospice-of-st-francis (31,378) 99.8%, Location: Berkhamsted, Ships to: GB, Item: 382631660714 Jerome Gothic Steeple Clock Description Approx 53cm high overall and 27.5x 11.5cm at the baseMade by Jerome & Co with label inside door, dating we believe from between 1850 and 1870Chimes on the hour and half hourIncludes key and pendulumOur clock repairman tells us that this is an unusual piece in that the clock mechanism has been affixed to the fact and cannot be obviously accessed by the back as normal. He tells us it works well although the hands are a little loose and so slip slightly depending on if they are moving up towards 12 or down towards 6, making it appear slightly slow or fast. Cosmetically in good condition. The wood veneer has some light wear at the base as can be seen in the photos. The veneer is also rubbed inside where the clasp rubs. The face is neat and clean with only light signs of wear. The pendulum seems a little small for the space but works well. The glass in free of cracks or chips with the lower fruit design having only light wear. See photos for more details. Due to the weight of this clock, we are offering it to UK BUYERS ONLY. Collection would be very welcome - see below for details. 100% of the profits from all our items goes towards supporting the Hospice of St Francis.
