Item:332586248919Antique Austro-Hungarian Style Arts & CraftsSilver, Turquoise & Coral RingZoltan White? - c.1910 ~Welcome to my auction for this beautiful circa 1910 arts & crafts ring~ This is a lovely ring to add to a jewellery collection or to wear as originally intended. The ring is a very nice example of arts & crafts era jewellery - the ring is manufactured in unmarked silver which has cast foliage patterns to the shoulders - the face of the ring is a loose quatrefoil shape with a centrally mounted coral stone set within a rope twist border - there are a further 4 smaller coral stones at the 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions - furthermore there are 4 tiny turquoise stones set at the 10, 2, 4 and 8 o'clock positions. The ring is made in a very Austro-Hungarian manner, but, despite it being unsigned this is a very familiar style for the the designer, Zoltan White - I've recently seen signed examples by the same jeweller that have the same stone formation and an identical decorative back - it's known that there are unsigned examples of his work around.Collectors will know that Zoltan White was born in the Austria-Hungary region in the 19th century but later relocated to England where he produced his distinctive jewellery in the European style. As mentioned above, the ring is unmarked which not as uncommon as you'd think during this era - it has been tested and shows itself to be of at least .830 grade silver, which was a fairly standard grade for this part of the world in this era. The ring is currently sized at a U.K size N which is a US size 7 - there is the potential to resize the ring if required and naturally any jeweller will be able to do this for you. To give you an idea of the size the face of the ring measures 1.9cm wide and is 1.8cm top to bottom - the total unpacked weight is 5.2g. The condition of the ring is very good - as you'd expect for an item well over 100 years old, there is perfectly normal signs of wear, but this is nothing that you would consider to be damage - there are no splits or damage to the silver elements and the stones are all secure and without fault - you can also see the hammer marks to the back of the shank where the jeweller has shaped the silver, which is a nice touch. Please study the images provided to satisfy yourself as to the condition of the piece - if you have any further questions please ask and I'll be happy to oblige. Postage to U.K. addresses is £6.95 (special delivery) - postage to international addresses is £12.95 (tracked / signed for)Condition:Good condition, Type:Ring, Ring Size:N, Main Gemstone:Turquoise, Metal:Silver, Country/Region of Manufacture:Unknown, Austro-Hungarian Jewellery:Arts & Crafts Jewellery, Coral jewellery:Turquoise jewellery, Antique jewellery:19th century jewellery, Designer:Zoltan White
