The bureau bookcase is of burr walnut veneer with a nod to the Art Deco from the curved top edges. It comes in two sections. The top bookcase/display case is lockable and comes with the key. The shelves are removable but not adjustable. The writing bureau doesn't have the key to go with it. Below are 3 drawers, the bottom one being slightly wider and taller than the others. The whole piece sits on cabriole legs with carved shell motif.

Good solid condition. A couple of small pen marks as shown in photo 12 on the fall front near the key. I haven't tried to remove them and they are not very noticeable with the burr walnut pattern. There is also a very old mark right at the top above the glazed doors where it must have been knocked. I have shown this in the last photo.
