Antique C1890 James Dixon & Son Silver Plated Spirit Kettle / Tea Pot.
The kettle has a good hinged lid and has age related wear to the silver plate, it is set on a bough style stand which is a bit wobbly, the actual spirit holder is missing.
Makes an excellent display item. Would be an interesting resilvering project.
This is beautiful antique English Silver Plate, with its own history and character. If you like items to be as new this, unfortunately, will not be right for you.
I only sell items in their original condition, so buyers know they are getting the original without any alterations. This lends itself well to buyers who like to repurpose items; it allows the buyer to decide the items future.
Tested and is water tight
The capacity is approximately 1.2 litres (2 & 1/4 pints)
Measurements approximately:
Height including stand: 31cm (12”)
Height of the stand: 15cm (6”)
Height of kettle only: 22cm (8,1/2”)
I have given it a quick wipe over, but as with all my items I don't over clean or polish. There may be the odd age related wear/mark commensurate with age, anything of note is listed above.
