Artist: Etched by William Hole (1846-1917) after a painting by the Reverend John Thomson (1778-1840)
Title: Untitled. We think it might be Ravenscraig Castle, although we are not 100% sure of this.
Details: Antique etching. We believe it to be a plate from Six Etchings After Paintings by the Rev. John Thomson of Duddingston by William Hole, published in 1889. Beneath the print are the artists' names. The print has plain gilt frame.
Condition: Overall in good condition. The print is a little discoloured (browned) and has some foxing. The frame has some denting, chipping and wear and some minor loss to the corners and one side edge.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
Image - 27.5cm by 18cm;
Frame - 42cm by 35cm; 1cm deep.
