Made by HAC (Hamburg American Clock) company of Wurttemberg, Germany and dating from the early 1900’s, this delightful clock has an elegantly carved oak front and a window through which the pendulum is visible. Labelled no 7217. The HAC company mainly exported to the USA. Believed to be 8-day, it strikes on the hour and half-hour so is fully working and appears to keep good time. The single ‘boing’ is a bit dull sounding rather than a tuneful chime. The back appears to slide off but is attached with some very tiny 1.5mm nails that I will not be trying to remove, thus the movement cannot be shown. It has been lightly cleaned but not restored. It will be carefully packed, with the pendulum taped up inside and the key taped to the outside. However, it may not survive the delivery service intact so it’s collection only for this item.
COLLECTION ONLY FROM SURBITON, SOUTH WEST LONDON/SURREY BORDER (I MAY BE ABLE TO DELIVER LOCALLY FOR A SMALL FEE - PLEASE ASK)
