ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN MAHOGANY UPRIGHT PIANO BY JOSEPH WALLIS & SONS
This attractive upright piano dates from the early twentieth century. It was made by the London maker Joseph Wallis & Sons and retailed by W. Goddard. It has attractive inlaid panels above the keyboard and stylised architectural design to the edges. It has a fold-down music stand and a lift-up top lid. It is supported on four metal castors.
Condition: Overall this this piano is in usuable condition, but would benefit from being tuned and serviced by a professional. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and some knocking and scuffing around the edges. The piano is faded and would benefit from a careful clean and polish. One of the feet is a little loose, and just above this foot a piece of moulding has been glued back on. All the keys sound but the piano is in need of tuning. There is some nibbling to the edges of the keys. The fabric on the back of the piano is grubby and badly torn and requires replacement.
