This is an antique 19thC French Aiguilles gilt brass framed carriage / mantel clock. It has nice bevelled glass panels on the sides and back showing the movement inside. It has a plain white enamel dial with roman numerals and a smaller second dial with numbers 1-12 around it.  Comes with a key winder which I can turn the bottom small dial with it and change the main hands for the time. The SPRING is fully wound, but when you do the test and wind the movement fully the BALANCE WHEEL moves freely as it should when it is ticking so we know from this the balance STAFF is NOT broken. In fact as it was fully wound, when i moved the hands slightly the movement actually did tick for about 2 minutes then stopped again.  So it is sold as SPARES - REPAIR ONLY. I am sure some of you will have this working again in no time. The inside is pretty dirty and mucky so it's not been working for a long time. It has a BELL and a small hammer which flops down on to the main spring winding shaft.  As I was measuring the clock it started ticking again for a minute but it stopped. Maybe there is some dried oil on it somewhere or gunge around a major cog etc.   Please see close-up photographs provided for more details and visual confirmation of condition for yourself. Condition report: Normal signs of age and use wear including some surface scuffs etc. There are some cracks through the enamel dial, mostly in the top right hand corner and one at the bottom. There are some areas of tarnishing. As mentioned, the inside is quite mucky. There may be some tiny nibbles on the bevelled edges of the glass, but otherwise it seems to be in nice condition. The top glass where you can see the balance wheel is fairly " frosty" for some reason, plus this is not sat in the right position as I can see into the movement at one end.  It measures approx. 4 and 1/2 inches tall with the handle down x 3 inches x 2 and 3/4 inches. It weighs approx. 1 kilo. Click here to visit my eBay shop My stock ref: #T44/22923/q200ty in clock cabinet. Postage policies: I use the eBay Global Shipping Programme for most of my items as this allows me to send items internationally that I would normally only be able to offer to UK buyers. Items sent under this system are fully insured the shipping price also includes any customs duties. I do NOT have any control over the shipping or customs prices as eBay themselves set these prices. Combined postage for multiple items:  AUCTION ITEMS "Usually when items are shipped through our Global Shipping Program it is not possible to combine separate orders as each transaction is given a unique reference code which is needed by our shipping centre to process orders.  EBAY SHOP ITEMS However, it may be possible to get an automatic shipping discount with the Global Shipping Programme by adding all your items to the eBay shopping basket and then purchasing. The eBay shopping cart automatically estimates any discounts for you, combining items where possible. However only these item must be in the cart at this time and will have to be added in and purchased within a certain timeframe. If you have any other items in your basket the system will be unable to combine the order." If this automated system does not apply the postage discount for you, please send me an eBay message and I will do my best to try and combine the shipping costs for you. Strangely, both options seem to only give a limited view of what I have to offer, so to see everything I have available, click on Shop by Category which will give you a much better view. Scale is usually an English 1 penny coin which is 20mm in diameter which is just short of 7/8ths of an inch in diameter, or a universal sized Coke can (330ml).

If you see  A/F = a/f in the title or description it means  "as found" condition which may have scuffs, scratches and damage. In relation to all my listings it does not mean " about fine ".  I have used A/F  for " as found " for 45 years.
