Antique GEORGIAN GLAZED CORNER CABINET c.1810 Architectural Salvage Cupboard

£275.00 or Best Offer Sold

Seller: cornforthwhite (1,600) 100%, Location: Liskeard, Ships to: Free Local Pickup, Item: 322333758090 An original late Georgian pine corner cabinet, circa 1810, that had originally been 'fitted' into a house, and was never free-standing, hence the fact it is in sections. It consists of the facade, with one astral glazed door and solid door beneath. Attached to the facade is two shallow returns. There is no skirting/base. Most of the cornice is there (which goes above, and sits onto the small ‘spheres’ detailing), just one of the returns element of the cornice is not there. The internal ‘corner section, has a piece of the paneling missing (was cut away like that when I bought it), but there is the pieces of wood that make up the top two shelves (not seen in photos). The fronts of the shelves are reeded. Most of the Georgian glass is still in the glazed door. The height is approx 205cm. The facade is 85cm wide, and with small returns 101cm wide. Internal corner section is approx 71cm deep. It is a bit of a project, but relatively quite easy to rebuild, and would make an authentic and stunning addition to a period house restoration. Collection only. Style: Regency, Material: Pine
