Antique Map of Norway. Circa 1890. excellent condition. . Item:- An Antique Map of Norway Published in Norway by F.Beyers Forlag. with mention of George Phillips of London. The map is in a Edward Stanford hard board slip case suggesting they were the London Agents for the Norwegian publishers. the maps also carry two yellow front plates advertising Stanford's extensive portfolio... The map is Dissected and mounted on linen.. The quality of this map is totally obvious from it's productions and presentation. The detailed cartography is a delight and the additional tables of geographic information again shows the quality of the publication. T his is a beautiful thing. a visual and tactile pleasure...Don't miss this quality map The map is un dated, however the decoration, although minimalist looks late Victorian. Also the Stanford advertisement mentions an Atlas Dedicated by permission to Her Majesty the Queen, Queen Vicky I would suggest. So I have estimated a date of 1890's.. maybe earlier, maybe a little later. Condition: Is outstanding.. Please check the photos for confirmation of, and as a supplementary aid to, the description.
