This is for a Three Piece Silver Plated Muffin Warmer by Mappin & Webb.
Clearly imprinted to the base "Triple Deposit Mappin & Webb's Princes Plate London & Sheffield" with pattern number "W.14684". Mappin & Webb often put the corresponding silver date mark for Sheffield within a small shield and although this is difficult to decipher it appears most likely to be the "X " for 1915.
Comprises of 3 pieces, the main bowl with wide rim, a lift out heat plate and domed lid with a dark wood finial style handle.
Lovely display piece or very useable item. Designed to have hot water in the base to keep the heat plate warm but makes a nice serving piece with or without this option.
Minor marks and light tarnishing from age, some pitting to the finish but mainly to the underside of the rim - See Photos - overall a lovely period piece in good Antique condition.
Just under 19cm across the rim. About 10cm high (12cm including finial to the lid).
