1.5mm Glazing tape, glazing silicone, glass packers, 20mm brass or stainless steel pins

measuring 1200mm wide x 450mm high x 95mm deep.
External frame section sizes,
head and sides 95mm x 45mm, cill 95mm x 56mm,
with the sub cill extending 70mm from the face.
Sash section sizes, head and sides 56mm x 45mm, bottom rail 56mm x 65mm.
All sizes are before sanding so are approximate.
Windows are supplied so that the sash will open once assembled.
These beautiful window kits are handcrafted
in a family run traditional workshop on the Grosvenor estate
in the Cheshire countryside
and because of this they can be made to any bespoke size.

All joints are through mortice and tenon.
Each section of timber is machined
from a single p iece of oak
and not numerous pieces laminated together.
The only exception is the front of the sub cill that fits into a groove on the face of the main cill
Made from light character grade European oak from FSC sources
Supplied untreated so you must add your own paint or varnish.

THIS IS THE MINIMUM AMOUNT OF TREATMENT WE RECOMMEND. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY LEAD TO WATER PENETRATION WHICH WILL CAUSE SWELLING AND DAMAGE TO YOUR ITEM.
Osmo 420 extra oil.
This is the most natural but requires regular upkeep
Initial treatment before fitting.
Apply 5-6 medium coats with a brush to all surfaces including the top, bottom and sides and any cutouts for hinges or lock recesses.
Apply 2 coats each spring and autumn thereafter.

It is clear and UV resistant.

After treatment a seal of clear glazing silicone should be applied on the outside and inside between the glazing beads and the glass.
