It is rare to find a nice early clock in such original condition. The movement to this clock is excellent being a very good quality fusee movement which has lovely shaped plates. If we start with the dial, this is convex and marked out with Roman numerals, and has lovely shaped blued fingers. This has had some restoration work to the white paint in there are a couple of knocks to the dial. The bezel is a superb CAST bezel. The glass which is convex and bezel are all in super condition. There is a side door, which allows the movement to be viewed, when opened. There is also a door to the base of the drop section which allows the pendulum to be hung. The drop section also has a glass section which allows the pendulum to be view and this is framed in brass inlay. If we then move down the clock it has a drop dial. Either side of the drop dial are carving, which as can be seen from the photograph, have been carved very well. The dial and movement are held in place with the lovely original wooden pegs (two are lacking). In addition the clock is complete with pendulum. The movement itself is excellent being a single fusee. This movement is nice and clean and ticks away. However, we would it is being sold requiring a service. The approximate dimensions are: - 17inches / 43 cm wide - 24 inches / 61 cm high - 12 inches / 30.5 cm diameter across dial - 6.5 inches / 16.5 cm deep With regards condition, the clock is in good condition, there are some chips to the veneer at the edges, the left upright of brass inlay has been replaced with a metal which is not brass. Two of the pegs are lacking. This has had some restoration work to the white paint in there are a couple of knocks to the dial. This movement is nice and clean and ticks away.
