Tibet, 18th century.  A scarce and beautiful Tibetan wooden cabinet doors expertly hand-painted with  mythical creatures and religious attributes, these include two dancing citipati which support a central offering cup, perhaps a kapala or blood filled skull cup; mythical lions, a large bull tramping on a human soul, more bulls, a horse and birds surround the central motif; the top of the door decorated with a garland-like and a mythical elephant and tiger.  The doors make a wonderful wall decoration.  Very solid provenance.
