Antique, Victorian, Silver Plate?, Grape Scissors. This is a beautiful pair of silver plate?, Victorian grape scissors. They feature ornate silver work and their form date them to around the 1870’s. Interestingly, the ‘hallmarks’ have been intentionally defaced. This makes it impossible to date accurately and to verify their silver content (Hence I have listed them as ‘silver plate’). I note that the front of the scissors does not close tightly - I am uncertain if this is intentional or not.
