An exquisite wedding gown original from the 1920s in rare, amazing "museum like" conditions considering its age. Made with the most luminous pure silk and matching lace in a gorgeous natural cream colour. The dress is designed in an elegant draped flapper style. The lace top (lined with silk) comes with  a square neckline and long and wide bell shaped sleeves (these are not lined and therefore sheer). A silk upper layer, designed to look like a sleeveless gown worn on top of the lace layer, falls towards a side at front below the natural waist forming a deep front oblique "V" opening,  softly draped and gathered with a decorative silk corsage at the bottom of the V.  On the top of the shoulders there are decorative circular applique motifs made out of the same silk. On one of the sides of the gown there is another floral corsage and on the other side another circular applique like the ones on the top of the shoulders. The back of the dress has the silk top layer draping down on one side only revealing on the other side the lace layer. The dropped waist is adorned at the back with a rope like motif to resemble a waist tie. There is a long rectangular central tail cascading at the back of the dress to complete this magnificent gown.  The dress fastens with concealed poppers on one shoulder and hook and eyes under one of the sides of the dress.  The dress is modelled on a size Small mannequin. Due to the floaty flapper shape the size can be quite flexible. I estimate it to best fit a size M depending on body shape and desired fit. Please consider the dress is not supposed to be clingy, a relaxed floaty fit would achieve the most desirable elegant figure. Please check carefully the below measurements and compare with a similar garment that fits you well.  See above condition report and photos.  PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS / ADDITIONAL MEASUREMENTS PRIOR PURCHASE. DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS GARMENT, RETURNS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.  MEASUREMENTS: -pit to pit (lace layer) 21” - underarm 19” - waist 17” (as per  dropped waistline ) - top shoulder to front hem 51” CONDITION Considering 100+ years old, this dress is in amazingly great condition. There are some faint age related marks, as per photos, but these are not too notable. The lace seems intact and the fabric is not deteriorated with the age.  The long tail at the back of the dress, as expected, has some light signs of dirt where it went to contact with the floor when the dress was worn. One of the round applique on top of the shoulder needs a couple of restitching as a bit loose. Please consider the gown was totally handmade, it is in incredible condition but  some very minor flaws are expected in an antique item this old.
