Antique Advertising Joseph Fison & Co Salesmans Example Box With Glass Jars 1900 Circa 1900  A rare late 19th century salesman example box for Joseph Fison & Co.  Joseph Fison and Co was  established in Ipswich in 1847.  In 1895, Edward Packard & Co  incorporated the business in Ipswich to acquire the business of a firm of the same name, agricultural chemists and artificial manure manufacturers.  This box would have been taken around by a salesman to show potential customs what they could be buying - The a rtificial manufactured manures were reported to "Double your crop size'.  The mahogany box with brass carry handle unlocks to reveal a fitted interior with all 8  original glass sample jars. All jars have the original matching mahogany screw-top lids.  There is space either side of the glass jars for were the salesman's purchase or order book would have sat.  The original paper adverting label still attached to underside of lid. A great item for anyone with an interest in adverting collectables.  Box size  42cm X 18cm Height 20cm  Condition - Good.  One glass jar is damaged - see last image  Minor chips around a few of the glass jar top rims hidden under the screw-top lids.  Item No, 4652

Condition Guide 

The condition is always described taking into account the age of the item. 

Mint - No damage, like new. 

Excellent - No damage. Possibly some very light fading or light crazing. 

Very good - No damage. Some fading,  heavy crazing, foxing, etc. 

Good - There may be some damage. However this will be either very small, difficult to see,  hidden from sight or repaired.

Poor - Damaged. There will be something wrong with the item which may significantly effect the item use. 

Very poor - Item is more or less unusable. Scrap. 

Delivery 

IMPORTANT

All breakable items are sent via a 24 hour courier and the postage costs includes 3rd party insurance for your item. The postage and packing may seem high, however we do not make any profit on the cost of postage. We just want your item to arrive safely and be in transit for the shortage possible time. 

Delivery costs are always calculated on the weight and size of the item when packaged. The cost of postage also includes packaging for the item such as bubblewrap and double boxing when required. 

We do ship internationally, however anyone wishing to purchase from outside the UK Mainland should contact us prior to buying to arrange delivery cost if the price is not stated already. 

International buyers - Any import duty / tax is the responsibility of the buyer to pay and you should check with your governing body prior to purchase if the item you wish to buy will be subject to import duty.  

In the unlikely event of your item arriving damaged, you must contact us within 24 hours of receiving your item. 

Returns  

We guarantee this item is exactly as described. However we do operate a money back return policy if you are not 100% satisfied. The Buyer is responsible for the cost in retuning the item if there is no obvious fault. The item will be inspected to ensure it is returned in the same condition it was sent in. A full refund will be issued within 24 hours of receiving the item back. It is advised that the seller retains as much as the original packaging to return the item back to us in and send via the same courier you received it with.
