Eight Piece John Rose Coalport Part Tea Set c. 1800 or earlier

Eight pieces of classic Georgian porcelain made by John Rose Coalport c. 1800.

Cobalt blue and gilt with fluted body and UNMARKED as is normal for John Rose Coalport of the early period.

In this period people lived by candlelight in which the gold gilt and rich cobalt blue reflected beautifully

Tea pot with small chip to the end of the spout.

Height 6.5” including lid. Length 9.75” from tip of spout to outside of handle

Sugar bowl undamaged. Very slight rubbing to gilt rim. Width 6.5” top of bowl, 3.5” foot rim. Depth 3”

Dessert plate hairline crack ( see photo) Central gilt floral decoration rubbed. Diameter 8.25”

Oval dish or side plate sometimes used as stand for teapot. Good condition. Central floral gilt decoration rubbed. Length 6.5”
