Large Glazed Edwardian Library Bookcase/Display Cabinet 

 

A very large double fronted Edwardian bookcase with four opening glazed doors over two cupboards with internal shelving, divided into two-opening from the middle top and middle bottom.  A real statement piece for a home in a classic timeless design.  The quadruple glaze design is a very desirable feature, not often found on the more modernist Edwardian pieces.

We have used this as a library but equally could be display decorative items, it’s very versatile. It has easily stored hundreds of books and/or records.

The bookcase is in excellent good condition, all original glass and brass fittings. The internal catches to lock doors are all in working order with original key. All doors open smoothly and close fully.

The entire piece is on a plinth with cornice.

The top bookcase has three adjustable shelves throughout.

The bottom bookcase has one adjustable shelf.

The wood has a beautiful deep honey patina.
