VINTAGE OAK WARDROBE

A wonderful oak wardrobe, manufactured by W.RULE as marked on the back along with the broad arrow (crows foot) mark and the A/C Air Council RAF stamp c1950s / 1960s.

This has a great 1930’s Arts & Crafts / Cotswold school look, with echoes of Gordon Russell / Heals in the design.

Chamfered and panelled doors, wooden handles and elegant feet. The oak is well-figured with wonderful grain pattern and nice tone. Original fittings.

A timeless piece of quality Arts & Crafts furniture, a sound investment as these are rare and will only increase in value. Please satisfy yourself with the photographs and condition report below.

CONDITION

Good condition with the usual age related scratches and marks throughout. Some very small filled areas in several places. Wear to finish on couple of area of doors. Ideal little nicks and dents. The right hand door lock has no key but it stays shut if positioned correctly or simple to add a catch or get key cut.

I convert some to 'Hairpin leg' pieces if they have no legs / ugly legs or missing legs.
