Beautifully painted Japanese Ko Imari Dish. The dish is made from fine quality porcelain. It has Hansori shape, curled out shape with flower petal design rim. The center of dish has pomegranate and flower. There is sometsuke work of Hanbishi work. Outer area with Kimono on the rack. Upper area with tassel and Sudare with Akadama ball and gold clouds. Lower left with Hand held drum(tsutsumi) and flute as well as Koto(Japanese flowe harp). Very interesting and classy as well as elegant looking dish. Outside dish with three red ball design. It is marked Fuki Cho Shun. The condition of dish is excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline. Almost none scratch. Please note, there are little Kamadashi ato which is original kiln spots on the rim when item taking out from kiln and clean the foot rim with sands sticks. Dish sit well. Dating from, 1810-1830, late Edo. This is very last dish we have. It is hard to find such a lovely dish anymore. Item was $160.00.
