After the traumatic events of the Vision Quest storyline, the West Coast Avengers need some time off and some time away. So to that end, Hawkeye and Mockingbird travel to Milwaukee to check out a group of light-hearted, super-powered individuals calling themselves the Great Lakes Avengers! Are Earth's Mightiest Heroes going to open a Midwest branch? Cameo appearances by the Scarlet Witch, Tigra, and the U.S. Agent. GLA Lineup: Big Bertha, Dinah Soar, Doorman, Flatman, and Mr. Immortal. (Notes: The GLA appear next in Avengers 309. This issue was reprinted in 2016 in the Avengers Omnibus by John Byrne. The hardcover collects issues #42 thru #62.) 32 pages.
