This is an early 20 th century silver plate coffee pot from the prestigious London Silversmith Asprey and Company. Asprey, founded in 1781, is an iconic British luxury brand. The pot is quite mid century modern in style despite having been made about 1909 based on the hallmark. The handle is covered in rattan cane ( in very good intact condition)and the exquisitely hinged lid opens by pushing down on the ebonized 'coffee bean'.
The condition is quite good for the age, no scratches, gouges, missing parts, or dents.
There is a slight bit of tarnish and the interior shows that it was used.
The pot measures 7 inches to the lid, 8.25 inches including the top bean knob. The base is about 4 inches in diameter.
The hallmark reads: " A&Co Asprey London 6372 made in England.
