On offer is this superb antique teapot decorated with flowers and lattice work. Please see below for many more photographs. Measuring approximately:- 9¼” spout to handle edge, 6” from base to finial on cover, 5¼” wide. Exquisite teapot of moulded transferware and hand painted finish with delicate pink and yellow corn flowers in a garden scene with lattice work and delicate tendrils. A very pretty object indeed, finishes with gilt and sprays of gilt in places. There is a slight chip to the inside rim of the teapot, clearly shown in the photographs below, the tiniest of grazes to the brown handle and a manufacturing flaw causing a couple of tiny white spots to the spout neck, seen above. No backstamps, however, hand painted in puce with the numbers 983. Always happy to combine the postage where possible, take a browse and see what else is on offer this month.
