A beautiful and bespoke upcycled item from House & Garden Shop - www.houseandgardenshop.co.uk A really lovely vintage single guest bed made by VONO given a French Country Style look with Laura Ashley Pale Dove Grey Furniture Paint with white detailing, with striped ticking material covering the bed base. Measuring 90 cm x 190 cm this is a typical Width 3'0" x Length 6'3" Single bed size. PLEASE NOTE - THIS BED WILL REQUIRE A MATTRESS. The design is simple but classic. The bed base sits on two black iron supports that connect to the iron attachments on the wooden head and foot boards, which are bolted in to place and the bed sits on castors so it is easy to move about. Very easy to assemble (though requires two people to do so). The paintwork has been waxed with Annie Sloan clear wax and has been left clean as this may be preferred by the buyer however, if you wish to purchase the bed and would prefer an antique patina effect with dark wax, I am happy to do this once you have committed to buy. I have reupholstered the bed base by completely removing the old material and foam. The springs are still strong and sturdy and in good order. I have covered the base with some wadding material and the underside has been covered with hessian burlap while the top has been upholstered with 100% cotton woven ticking material that is flame retardant. Any signs of rust have been removed from the irons and I have used black wax to create a cleaner effect which has been sealed with clear matt varnish.
