WHY GLASS ONLY ?
It's a dismaying feeling seeing side view mirror components damaged. Whether you know how the damage happened or not, you're faced with what might be an extensive, costly repair and the dreaded hassle of figuring out what replacement parts are necessary - or where to go for the repair. Maybe it's only the glass that's cracked
Glass pieces can be purchased separately. This can save you significant money compared to the purchase of an entire mirror assembly.

FITTING INSTRUCTION
Stick on mirror glass
Mirror glass has double sided self adhesive backing. You can fix it on top of old broken glass or remove old glass and fix mirror directly to old backing plate. When fitting mirror to old back plate it might help to warm up back plate with heat gun / hair dryer, it will make plastic softer so you can bend it and fix glass inside. Please make sure that before fitting you will degrease surface and remove any loose bits of glass, then stick new mirror on.
Mirror glass with heater element
Mirror glass has heater fitted on the back, on top of the heater double sided self adhesive tape. You will need to fix it to old backing plate (remove from back plate old glass first). If heater connectors are in different position you might need to make new holes in plastic plate (it is plastic so it is very easy). Please make sure that before fitting you will degrease surface and remove any loose bits of glass, then stick new mirror on.
Mirror glass with backing clip
Mirror glass has heater fitted on the back, on top of the heater is double sided self adhesive tape, backing plate comes separately. a) you will need to trim plate to mirror shape if needed (you can use scissors) and then fix (clip on) plate in mirror housing. b) (if you have heater element please connect wires first and) attach mirror to backing plate degrease surface where you will stick mirror and fix new mirror to backing plate. IMPORTANT: You need to fix plate in mirror housing first and then stick mirror there.
FAQ
Do I require backing plate?
If your mirror was broken, you need to know if original backing plate (plastic frame of the mirror) is intact, or if it also needs replacing. Supposing that the original backing plate was intact, it would be enough to buy stick-on mirror glass and stick it to the plastic frame. If plastic element on the back of the mirror is missing please look for mirror with backing plate.
Which side of the mirror I need?
Traffic in United Kingdom is Right Hand Drive, which means that steering wheel is on the right side of the car.
Therefore:
Driver's side - Right side - Off Side
Passenger's side - Left Side - Near Side
