Traditional mechanical ship's clock with key in working order. Confirmed with original manufacturers that it probably dates from 1930's. The firm Cooke of Hull is still operating as a manufacturer of navigational instruments after more that a century in business.Scratched on rear of clock is original location on board a vessel "Wheel House" and possible name of vessel "Scimitar. There is a crack in the brass case which is apparently quite common in this type and age of clock. It is on the underside and not visible face on. See pic seven.Max Diameter 19 cm, depth 8.5 cm.
