Elegant and unusual Edwardian or Victorian triptych dressing table mirror. A very prettily shaped mirror in three sections which hook together for easy removal; each mirror with a charming rounded mahogany mounted frame, with the central section having a tilt mechanism to the inner frame .
The mirror is faced with attractive rounded wooden trim. This has been applied in several sections, which, with the natural shrinkage of the wood over time, gives what I believe to be a very pleasing and unique shabby vintage look; it reminds me of the simulated bamboo look popular during the Aethetic period. This mirror has been carefully and sensitively restored to ensure all of the frame trim is securely and uniformly attached (no losses or replacement sections).
All original glass with the characterful discreet peppering to the rear side of the glass indicative of true antique mirrors; glass remains in very nice clean, undamaged condition - I have blurred my reflection in a couple of the photographs.
Mirror remains in very good strong and sturdy condition throughout with no damage or notable wear, apart from the aforementioned shrinkage cracks to the facing wooden frame trim. The cracks are to the front side trim only - the main frame of the mirror remains in extremely good strong, undamaged condition.
Mirror measures approx 27" (68.5cm) tall x 34" (86.5cm) wide when stood.
