Seller: shirelets (70) 100%, Location: Penrith, Ships to: Free Local Pickup, Item: 163972720621 Craftsman built some 30 years ago to the well respected John Wilding design. Full copy of plans accompany the clock. Visible fusee movement. Beautifully constructed tilting table. Three silvered dials: 30 secs, minutes, hours. Majority of parts polished and lacquered, but showing minor signs of wear and ageing. Intricately patterned winding key. Complete with mahogany plinth and rectangular perspex cover, but top of cover is clouded.Dimensions 15" x 15" (plinth) x 17" high Working, although reluctant to go for more than about 15 minutes, probably needs servicing and setting up properly. Selling on behalf of local friend, elderly gent whose failing eyesight sadly means he has not used the clock for quite a while and wishes to part with it. Apparently a stronger (thicker) spring was fitted than originally specified, so it takes up more room in the spring barrel and hence only winds about 7/8th of the way to the stop on the fusee. Potential buyers welcome to see the clock about 15 minutes drive from M6 J40 Penrith, Cumbria. It is too heavy and vulnerable for me to risk packing and shipment, so regret collection only or arrange your own courier.
