These dangle earrings are a creation of a Yurok Tribal member and as such are purposefully imperfect. This artist only creates while having good thoughts and with prayers. It is believed that moods and thoughts are carried with the article created.
This pair has a wire structure (brass tone) and is made of large beads (about size 8), mother of pearl discs and dentallium shells. The earrings are in a green color way. The large beads are opalescent green and jet black discs. White dentallium shells hang from each dangle
The earrings weigh .03 oz / 9 mg and the length is 3" / 83 mm (measured from top of hook).
They hang from brass tone fish hook wires.
