Hand written Indenture on 3 leaves of vellum measuring 29 inches by 24½ inches.
Dated 7 December 1870.

• Thomas Barnup of Cleckheaton in the Parish of Birstal in the same County - Gentleman, Joshua Hirst Wheatley of Mirfield in the same County - Manufacturer and Benjamin Senior of Batley in the same County - Gentleman, three of the Directors of the West Riding Union Banking Company.
• John Graham Berry of Huddersfield in the County of York, Bank Manager.
• Richard Walker of Dewsbury, Bank Manager.
Relates to the Mortgage of a Mill and Dyehouse at Savile Town in Thornhill bounded on the north by the River Calder, on the south by Hull Street East, on the east by part of the Savile Estate and in the west by the Dewsbury Branch Railway of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company.
Includes the boiler, shafting, Dyehouse and premises known by the name of the Cut End Mill.
CONDITION. Contents complete. Two tiny pin holes to an original fold line. Otherwise no holes or tears. Slight darkening to vellum in places but good condition overall. Ink clear and free of fading.
