It appears to be a typical late Georgian clock with mechanism by a JA Field of Hertford. The attractive face is painted. The clock mechanism is in good working order, with a lead weight. The finish appears to be flame mahogony veneer on a pine structure.. The original key to the original case lock was lost and a previous owner had attached a small spindle to hold the door shut, which has been removed and a modern magnetic catch is presently fitted inside the long case chamber, which can be easily removed if the new owner desires. Dimensions at maximum are H 200 cm x W 45cm x D 25 cm Condition: Good condition for age (estimated about 1800). Clock mechanism is in good working order, with resonant chime.
