EXTREMELY RARE SOLIDLY BUILT 1930's BAKELITE LONG RING VINTAGE SMITHS TIMER . EXTREMELY RARE VINTAGE ART DECO 1930's SMITHS 1 HOUR TIMER - WORKING WELL We have had one or 2 of these over the many years but they are definitely the very best for quality and long lasting timers in existence I even have my own personal one which will never be for sale I keep mine on my desk at all times actually to remind me to do upcoming tasks whilst I am working at the same time Multi tasking its called - No I am not mad loll The vintage charm is just so overwhelming - The character just radiates - These will be museum pieces almost invariably The front turning wheel there you can see is all solid Bakelite This one the numbers haven't faded at all either with use Underneath SMITHS within that circle reads MADE IN ENGLAND And you can see the 2 very solid little screws that hold the wheel on You can see minutes at the top and this is 60 minutes It rings like a very loud old school bell - It really could wake the dead. This will last another 100 years - That is how well built these are. Any modern timer may last 3 month 6 months if you lucky 5 second ring approx most are 2.5 seconds Steel painted casing and the paint is wearing off Dulled chrome bell back which can be restored without effecting the value of this item I could restore this if I wanted to but I hate changing its originality I will do that if you want but that will make the price £97.00 at it will look like brand new again I need a week to do that though as I have to order in the vintage paint Why buy time after timer when this one will probably outlast our life times ?
