Seller: richard_everglades (767) 100%, Location: Montverde, Florida, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 254401912541 Very rare early hook and spike clock made by Marsh of Highworth in the county of Wiltshire. This clock was likely made in the first quarter of the 18th century. The style bridged between lantern clocks and longcase clocks. The clock hangs on a nail driven into the wall and is held steady with spikes. The clock runs on a 9lb weight (not included). At some point a prior owner has removed a small gear so the clock no longer strikes. This would not be expensive to have made, if required. Included is all as in the photos. The pendulum, rod, suspension and winding pulley are modern replacements. For International shipping please email me for a quote. Condition: Used, Condition: Clock runs but selling as a project, Country/Region of Manufacture: United Kingdom
