Seller: pubah2010 (629) 100%, Location: Dallastown, Pennsylvania, Ships to: US & many other countries, Item: 222321421385 Details: This is an early German Black Forest cuckoo clock. This clock has an animation that I have not seen in these earlier clocks. The side birds actually tip forward to tend the nest as the cuckoo calls. It does this with a more traditional two train movement. The clock is in excellent condition and runs/calls as it should. The only thing to mention is that there is an old glue joint on the crown and the roof is worn behind the crown where the crown stud meets the roof (pictured). I think the clock is very original. The weights look right and the pendulum matches the motif so it is probably also original. Even the bellows appear original and work well. The movement is older, probably 1890-1900, and uses thick brass plates that appear to be cast. It is stamped "F. Spitzhoff, Germany". It's a rare clock in great condition. Don't miss it. I would prefer a local pickup but would be glad to ship. If it must be shipped than the deal will have to be "as is" with no returns. Please plan to have a professional adjust it. It is possible that slight adjustments or repairs would be necessary after shipment. That being said, the package will be insured and probably sent fed ex. I am also willing to offer assistance with the adjustments through email or over the phone. If there are any issues please contact me. I am easy to work with and will do my best to keep buyers happy. If you are one to leave negative or neutral feedback without prior contact please do not participate. I will ship internationally but not without prior contact. I strive for accuracy on shipping prices and will not lower the cost after the sale is complete, so if there is an issue please make contact prior to bidding. I accept the winning bid as a binding contract and expect payment within a reasonable amount of time unless otherwise agreed upon. Thanks for looking.
