Hi
I have for sale a rare limited edition clock made to celebrate the silver jubilee in 1977 , they only made 500 examples of this clock it is number 251 in mahogany in original condition for the age from the original owner’s estate retailed by Pailthorpe of Grimsby not often seen for sale, just serviced running really strong.
The Case
The case is in solid mahogany and stands 11” high x 6.75” wide with a depth of 4” it is in very good original condition and has been very well looked having been well waxed and looked after for many years
still looks great on display..
The Dial
The dial is in original good condition with a silvered chapter ring, with the original silver sheet and angle spandrels to the four corners and the ER plaque to the top with the no.251 and ornate hands which are original to this very old clock the clock is signed Elliott and by the retailers Pailthorp of Grimsby.
The dial is housed in glass to cover the dial.
The Movement
The movement is an eight day time only just serviced so keeps spot on time over eight days.
This is all run via the original English platform Escapement so no need for levelling for a pendulum you can place this clock any where.
Overall a very rare mantle clock quite rare in this original condition that looks great on display keeping great time and looking even better. The photos do not do justice to this stunning old clock.
I will post worldwide.
