The horse won the Two Thousand Guineas in 1871. Jockey: John Osborne Jr, Trainer: Tom Dawson, Owner: John Johnstone, but I understand the ownership is also associated with the Rothschild family (Note the blue & Yellow jockey silk colours)
Published by J McQueen, London and drawn and engraved by G C Hunt and Son.
29cm x 24cm, frame size 44cm x 39cm
Good condition for age, with some superficial discolouration and foxing. The frame, which is probably authentic to the period, has been over-painted, has some wear, marks and paint touching-up.
