Weight 486 grams Size 12.5 cms (to top of fixed brass handle) x 7.8 cms wide x 5.1 cms deep. All heavy Brass construction with a wonderful aged patina to the case. The case sits on four bulbous feet on a heavy plain brass base plate, curved stepped borders to upper and lower body with recessed to with fixed turned brass handle held on straight brass mountings. The case is completely undamaged and in good original condition. The perfect white porcelain dial features black roman numerals on a convex dial with blued elegant spade type hands. The dial is protected by its original convex glass within an engine turned brass bezel. The rear of the case is the original domed glass within an engine turned bezel that protects the movement, all in perfect condition. The fantastic original Verge movement is in first class condition and in full working order. with the fine quality works protected by an engraved guard with a freely running balance wheel clearly visible, with a fast/slow regulator adjustment evident towards the top of the movement, Fast being spelt FAFT with the works serial number 7282 stamped on the back plate with Initials that appear to be AFO. The Chain Fusee and Verge Crown Wheel are perfect and original. The original key is included and fits both spring and hands cranks and again is in perfect condition and working order. One of the most original and in brilliant condition of any Georgian Clock ever seen on the market, a rare and highly valuable find. We strongly recommend personal collection and inspection but will pack carefully to post only at buyers risk as clock may require setting up and put in beat after going through postal system and buyer is recommended to have a competent person available to do this.
