Seller: boilyhead (1,169) 100%, Location: wilts, Ships to: Americas, Europe, Asia, AU, Item: 332692276337 For auction is a very rare clock case indeed. 18c ebonized bell top bracket clock case that has been shamefully adapted to take a French movement. the sad thing is that it is in near original condition and the dial is original to the case but has been later adapted to take a French movement[ oh I wonder why and what happened to the original movement?]. As you can see the dial has a mock pendulum aperture, the original fusee winding holes and a name aperture? Wonder who that was. Lovely small size and only measures 13 inches high[33cm] x 8 ins wide[21cm] x 6 ins deep[15cm]. It has its original carry handle, brass front door inset, both side apertures and back door lock[no key]. This was once a very high quality clock and someone may be able to restore it back to how it once was and then it would be a very valuable clock. Very rare to see a period clock case of this small size. I am including the French movement that it was adapted for[fits fine] and seems to be in working order but I wish it was the original. Oh well being sold as is and 0.99p start and no reserve. Will send worldwide but sorry not to Russia.
