Notes for Buyers

Payment Methods

We prefer to receive payment via Paypal.  We do not pass on Paypal fees to our customers.  We will accept cash on collection within 7 days of the auction ending.  In certain circumstances we will also accept other payment methods eg sterling cheques drawn on a UK bank account or BACS but please contact us in advance if this is required.

Collections

Certain items are listed as Buyer Collect is they are too large, heavy or valuable to send through the postal system.  Customers are also welcome to arrange to collect an item personally if they prefer.  In all cases please contact us by email to arrange a date and time for collection so that the item can be ready for you.  Unless otherwise stated in the listing, the item will be for collection from our registered office address in Redditch, Worcs.  In all cases collection must be made within 7 days of the auction ending or we reserve the right to charge a strorage fee of £20 per item per week.  Items uncollected may be re-listed and sold or disposed of.

Postage and Packing

We aim to pack and despatch all items within two business days of receiving cleared payment.  We often send items the same day if cleared payment is received before 2pm.  Our standard shipping arrangement is Royal Mail 1st class recorded delivery for items up to 2kg in weight; for heavier items we use a tracked courier service.  In both cases parcels should arrive within 3 days of despatch. 

We take great care to ensure that all items are carefully and generously packed to avoid damage.  We retain proof of posting for all items.  If you have not received your item within one week of despatch, or if it has arrived damaged, please contact us by email so that we can make a claim againct the carrier.

We will post items overseas but in all cases this is by quotation on a case by case basis - please contact us BEFORE bidding.

Returns and Refunds

We pride ourselves on the servcie we provide to our customers.  If there is a problem with your purchase we will do our utmost to resolve it: please email us to report any problem or to raise a query.  We offer a detailed refunds and returns policy.

1. 14 day No Quibble Refund - under European and UK consumer law governing distance selling, if we ship an item to you within the EU, as buyer you can change your mind and be fully refunded for the item and outbound postage/shipping costs.  You must return the item to us in the condition it was sold, and within 14 days of your receipt of it.  Return postage will be at your expense.  Please contact us to advise of your change of mind and your intention to return the item.  Once we have received the item back and have confirmed it is as sold condition, we will issue you with a full refund, including the cost of postage to you.

NOTE:  this return and refund policy does not apply to items collected in person.

2. Item lost or damaged in post - If we ship an item to you and it gets lost or damaged we will replace it if possible and refund the value of the item and postage.  If it is damaged we may require you to return it to us or to send us a photograph of it to confirm damage, and we may also require you to sign a form to enable a claim for compensation from the postal carrier.

3. Items not as described  - Under the sale of Goods Act 1979 if the item we have sold to you differs materially from the photographs or listing description, we will refund you your payment.  We will require items to be returned to us, but we may at our discretion ask to to send a photo of it to confirm damage, agree a partial refund if appropriate or to pre-authorise a refund of your return postage costs.  For this purpose, material difference means a clear listing error, misrepresentation or fault which significantly affects the item's value.  Items collected in person should be carefully inspected by you or your representative to check that there are no material differences prior to taking them away.

4. Limited Liability - except as limited by statute, our liability to you is limited to the amount paid for the item plus shipping/postage costs.
