Item:273851410544Hi I have for sale the most beautiful solid brass French crystal regulator mantel clock in great original condition with an eight day movement striking on a bell made in France in the rare oval case style made around 1880-1900. The case has been fully restored the glass panels are in perfect condition the dial original in good condition and signed on the rear of the movement JJS France. The massive original twin vial mercury pendulum and the original winding key are both still present , the clock has been fully serviced and running great over the eight days. The Case The case is in solid brass and very heavy standing 12” high x 8” wide with a depth of 6” it is in very good/perfect original condition and has been very well looked after over the years, with thick 5mm bevelled curved glass on all four sides. The Dial The dial is in white porcelain with black Roman numerals and has a solid white inner dial which shows all the front workings, the original moon hands are present still running on the original ruby pallets , the whole front workings are amazing to what and still gleam with their original gilded coating. The Movement The movement is an eight day time and strike striking the hours and halves on a silvered bell a real quality movement, which still retains the original key and Mercury pendulum. The original key is still present. Overall a simply beautiful clock quite rare in this original condition that looks stunning on display a rare clock going up month on month.
