For sale is an unusual rare antique Art Nouveau solid mahogany desk or dressing table, dating from the late 1890s Victorian period. It’s a free-standing piece of antique furniture, so looks good from the back or front. It has a curved back, with two cupboards & one drawer on the front, which have blind fretwork & delicate brass decorative handles. The two cupboards are lovely and deep providing ample storage for stationary or cosmetics. Would make a lovely vanity unit, console/hall table or sideboard.
The table is painted in French Grey by Farrow & Ball.
However, the buyer could strip it back to its original former glory if preferred see the last listing photograph. The shaped legs sit on the original brass casters. This table is delicate and lightweight of quite small proportions but still has a generous kneehole height for a chair or stool if needed.
This table is in very good condition for its age and only shows signs of wear on the mahogany top. Which has a few scratches and imperfections. Hardly noticeable due to the gloss surface finish. Paint work intact no chips.
Dimensions: 100cm Length, 52 cm Width, 75cm Height
