Item:315251315678GB QV, 6-P.(SG70)/Exeter, UK--Lt. Col. J. Clarke, Comm'r. Seetapore, India/1860!. This is an attractive cover(no letter now) sent from Exeter, U.K., to Seetapore, British India, on June 10, 1860! It went through London, Southampton(put on a steamer), and Bombay, British India, on its way to Seetapore. The addressee was a Lieutenant Colonel John Clarke, Commissioner! To continue, the lilac, 6-pence, GB Victoria(SG70), is in very fine condition! The bar numeral, duplex cancel from the Exeter P.O. is superb! The small, red, transit CDS(6/11/60) from the London F S P.O. is awesome! The transit cancel(7/10/60) from the Bombay P.O. is pretty good, but light/faded in some areas. The receiving, CDS cancel(7/19/60) from the Seetapore P.O. is pretty nice but light/faded in some places. Lastly, as for the envelope, itself, it's in quite fine condition! There are few stains on it. The back flap is intact, but does have some tears in it. Noted imperfections aside, this is a neat British, Victoria-era cover sent in 1860 to a leading political/military figure in Seetapore, India!
