A lovely George III solid silver Hanoverian table spoon. There is an engraved crest on the reverse of the handle.

 

Hallmarks: The spoon is English sterling silver hallmarked for London 1766 ( Lion Passant, Leopard Head Crowned, Date Letter L) The maker's mark, probably 'S.J', is untraced.

Dimensions: It is 21cm long and weighs 68g.

 

Condition: Good general condition, with no splits or repairs. Hallmarks very clear, but top of maker's mark difficult to read. Tip of bowl a touch thin. Tiny nick on side of handle. Please see photos.
